FAQ

FAQ

You might be new to fitness or getting back into the grove of things. These are some of the most frequently asked questions we get.
  • How many days per week do I need to work out?

You should work out as many days as you can! Try listing your goals and considering how much time is required each week to meet those goals. While pushing yourself is good, you also need to allow your body time to rest so that you can attack your next workout full force! On average, you should exercise four times per week. Each workout should last from thirty minutes to an hour. Being efficient when working out is important.

  • What’s the best way to lose fat?

The answer to this question is much simpler than it may seem. First, getting a decent amount of quality sleep goes a long way (seven hours is the magic number). Second, follow the eighty/twenty rule when eating. Eighty percent of your meals should be healthy and nutrient-dense. The other twenty percent can be your “cheat meals.” Finally, get the body moving and lift some weights!

  • Do I have to do cardio?

The answer depends on your goals. Cardiovascular exercise has many benefits. These include strengthening your heart, helping your body regulate weight, improving the quality of your sleep, lowering blood sugar and blood pressure, and improving your brainpower and mood. We highly encourage including some form of cardio in your workouts!

  • What is the best diet?

There is no “best” diet. Find out what works best for your body because every individual is different. We can help you with tailoring your nutrition to reach your goals.

  • Can I lose weight with exercise alone while eating whatever I want?

The short answer is no! It is virtually impossible to out-train a bad diet.

  • How does online coaching work? How will it motivate me?

Online coaching includes a fully tailored LTS Fitness Plan catered to your specific goals as well as access to one of your coaches 24/7. We will be there to motivate you and encourage you while providing professional guidance. However, this is a team effort and, at the end of the day, this journey is about you and your goals. It is important for you to work hard and never lose sight of why you started.

  • What should I eat before and after a workout session?

Carbohydrates are the body’s source of energy and are usually the best pre-workout snack. Ken’s favorite pre-workout snack is a protein bar (Quest Bars, specifically). Jack likes to eat a cup of oatmeal with fruit. For a post-workout snack, we both love our protein smoothies. Bomb.
